March 14th 2009: Emmanuel With Us - Coming Soon to RTE

The Helix theater at Dublin City University was the venue this year for the award winning 'Emmanuel With Us' choral show. The sheer numbers of those taking part this year meant it had to be moved from its former home in the National Concert Hall. Over 1,000 secondary school children lent their voices to the annual event this year and it proved to be an immense success.

7 members of the Blanchardstown Brass Band formed part of the orchestra for the evening and added marvellously to the occasion. Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, Liam Lawton and RTE were the most prominent attendees of the event. RTE filmed Thursday night's show for their Capital D programme, a programme the Blanchardstown Brass Band have previously appeared on. The highlights will be broadcast after the Six-One news on RTE One on Thursday 19th of March so check it out!
